This year the Kereru won New Zealand Bird Of The Year 2018 with 5,833 votes! I voted for the Takahe which is in serious trouble where as the kereru is doing ok. You might be confused but that is what the Bird Of The Year website says. Personally I think the Takahe should've won, it had 1,863 votes and as I said is in serious trouble. I still like kereru but they are very common and are doing ok. All I'm trying to do is raise awareness for the takahe so that people don't hunt them down.Wednesday, 24 October 2018
